Tough Week
Well it was a ruff week for both of us.
Sunday mom took Lady II to the fur salon and while she may have had a stroke, well, what our doctor thinks could have been one. I was sooo scared for her and so were our pesky cat siblings. Lady II looked and acted really drunk, she couldn't walk, sit, stand or anything but fall over. Mom watched over her all night and took her straight to the vet the next morning. She is doing better but recovering. It took her a bit to be able to walk again. She still falls over when going up or down a step or hill.
To make matters worst - look at what grandma did to me
For some reason the blind old lady thought I needed to be shaved down. She got half way through before mom got home and stopped her. Mom took me straight to the fur salon and they did their best to make me look pretty - not showing the final look until I get some fur on my butt. My letter to Santa Paws - I asked to keep mom on the nice list and put grandma on the naughty list :)

Key West Visit
Mom finally downloaded the pics from my friends Essex and Sherman's place. I had fun even though young Sherman tried to get me to play to much. It was a trip I really needed, felt so much better. I really did and again now miss Key West and Joe.

FIRE FIRE FIRE
Our dog neighbors lost everything in the early morning hours to a fire. Their entire house burnt down. Just when we thought the fire was out our human had to call the fire department to come back out because it sparked back up. It was really scary, fire trucks everywhere. Good news is our friends got all their humans out of the house to safety and no lives were lost, just memories. We are waiting to hear from them to see if we can help them out. We also made our human check our smoke detectors and we want you to do the same!

Dear Friend Bo (RIP)
Our Friend Bo lost the fight today to his cancer. He is now with our friend Deacon chasing squirrels and watching over us all. We Love You Bo
The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Wednesday, August 24, 2011
Update
Mom almost got rid of the 2 kittens she brought in our house but the poeple backed out. So, to all of you reading this - please tell your humans to ask around if they want any kittens. If you know nyone in the S GA area and/or N FL area. Mom will take them anywhere and we get a car ride :). Here are some pics of the little boys

3 more over the Rainbow Bridge
Mom came home today and told us that a friend of hers had their dog cross the rainbow bridge with 2 of her puppies, leaving 8 puppies (just a little over a week old) without their mommy. An angel came upon the puppies in the form of a human and will be nursing them for the next 5-6 weeks. We wish them lots of luck. Please say a prayer for the 8 little ones fighting to stay alive and the 3 that have crossed. We never met them but their human family loves them dearly.

Bo Hound - the Squirrel Hunter
we just learned one of our first dog park friends here in Valdosta has been diagnosed with cancer, he has an aggressive neoplastic mass, chondrodlastic osteosarcoma, it originates in the bone, his human mom is very sad. Please send special doggie prayers his way. Like Essex always on border patrol, Bo is always on squirrel patrol!

Bad News
Dang it, mom did it again. We got rid of the three kittens and mom took in another one from her friend. is name is NKOTB (New Kid on the Block). We are dealing with him but then today she was able to catch one of the back yard kittens. She calls them the Backyardigans and named this one Uniqua. I have to admit, they do look tasty. I licked NKOTB and he does not taste like chicke jerky!

Good News
A lot of news to share. First mom got homes for all 3 kittens, our home is kid free again. She doesn't know, but Lady II posted our feline siblings on craigslist too. You can find them under "Free Shark Bait", shhh don't tell mom :). Second, We read that our girlfriend Essex will be soon getting a baby brother, Sherman. We can't wait to meet him. Mom is going to plan a short trip to the Keys in Sept - weather permitting. Finally, my arthritis has been really bad, not sure if it is because of this heat wave but went to see the doctor today and he gave me some pawsome meds, everything looked so funny when I took the pill ;8, I like those pills! Have a wonderful collie day all!

Our Friend Jetta
we just found out that one of our friends we met in Key West almost died last night. She live in TX now with her man and 2 kids. She was not acting like herself and hiding, so her human mom took her to the emergency vet. She was anemic due to fleas. Which for some reason have been EXTREMELY BAD this year all over (we know first hand). She had to get a blood transfusion. Because her red blood cell level is suppose to be 33-55 and she was at 10. The vet was shocked she was doing as well as she was for being that low. Her human mom and human sister are still upset and need your prayers for a speedy recovery. The picture of Jetta is when she delivered her babies in our bathroom back in Key West. The little brown one thought I was her momma and kept following me around. Love Lady I

Look what mom brought home
Look what mom dragged home, 3 4-week old kittens. Their cat mom was emaciated and could not care for them. Lady I doesn't seem to care for them at all bu I kinda like the little black one, she tastes like chicken. The little one on the left has no tail and when she runs she looks like a rabiit hopping. The little boy on the right has about 1/3 of a tail. He doesn't like me yet. If anyone wants one contact me - Lady II

Pearly Whites
I had my appointment today and no teeth pulled. My mouth is still sore and I am on antibiotics for gum infection but I am happy I got to keep all my chompers! Woo Hoo!!
Mom is broke now but I am happy. Now I know why she takes me to the best vet in Valdosta, Thanks Dr Richards!

All Clear
I had my appointment with the doctor today and they gave me the all clear for my health - no bladder infection, just getting old. It is getting harder to hold my bladder when I am asleep but mom is fine with that. She reminds me that whatever I have an accident on can eventually be replaced. She is so patient and loving. I go back to the doctors on Friday to get my teeth cleaned and also get 2 of my canines pulled - they are in bad shape and with them gone I will be one step closer to looking like my grandma Grace. I'll keep you posted and mom will post pictures. Keep me in your prayers Friday morning, mom and I both hate having to go under the drug for procedures.

Home Sweet Home
Well, we are back in Valdosta. Our FL vacation was fun, mom is mad because we are covered in fleas but she fixed that. Mom is worried about me because my legs are giving out more and so is my bladder now. She loves me enough to deal with the bladder failure and she is going to make me an appointment to get my teeth looked at and find out why my legs are giving out more now. I missed my mommy so much. I'll keep you posted on what the doc tells mom.
Love always, Lady I
P.S. Lady II and I are still sending our doggie prayers and doggie love to both Essex and her human dad Joe.

RIP Deacon
We just learned that our buddy in Key West, Deacon passed away. We don't know what exactly happened, neither does his dad. He had an accident in the house. Though he is in heaven with an endless supply of doggie treats he will be missed so much. We LOVE you Deacon. Lady I and Lady II

Panama City FL
We realized mom needed a break from us and Grandma Grace so we convinced her to take us to Panama City to stay for the month. We love our human dad and our human neighbors and dogs. This is a vacation for all of us. Plus we have Grandma with us which means lots of treats without mom yelling at us all :)

Spring Break Over
Our spring break vacation to Panama City, FL is over. Mom came and picked us up and brought us back to Valdosta. We had a great time with Pretty Girl, Aunt Debbie and our daddy Kendall. So glad to be away from crazy Julio - he doesn't like us much and the feelings are mutual. Punk Cat :)
Mom promised to take us to the dog park but her lazy ass is sleeping so we will make her tomorrow

No Key West
Our landlord let the house we are in go into foreclosure on 1 Feb. Now mom has to spend the money we were going to use for our Key West vacation to find us another house to live in. This time we are getting a yard! A bigger place so when deacon and Essex come to visit there will be plenty of room to run and play with them.
